CHOP behavioral and developmental pediatric fellow Manuel Jimenez won the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Young Investigator Award for Child Development and Preventive Care Services for Children, Ages 0-5 for his project entitled “Understanding Barriers to Enrollment in Early Intervention for Urban Families: A Qualitative Study.” His proposal stems from PolicyLab's TEDS project on implementing developmental screening in urban primary care practices and plans to interview families to identify strategies to better connect families to early intervention services.
