Alexander Fiks and colleagues received a grant award from CHOP’s Chair’s Initiatives on Quality and Patient Safety. This award will fund work on developing a shared decision making portal for pediatric chronic illness that interfaces with CHOP’s electronic medical record system. The portal will provide educational materials, gather information on medical conditions and treatment preferences, and provide support tools to increase treatment adherence.
